Terms and conditions

Last updated: 12 March 2025

These terms apply to your use of the Plstr website and services. By using Plstr you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Plstr is operated by Richard Moore, a sole trader, trading as Plstr. Address: 6 Farm Lane, Send, Woking, Surrey, GU23 7AT. References to “we”, “us” or “Plstr” mean Richard Moore (sole trader).

2. What Plstr is (and is not)

Plstr is an introductory and matching service only. We operate a website that:

  • lists plasterers and plastering-related businesses who have registered with us;
  • allows visitors to request quotes by submitting their details and job information;
  • matches quote requests with plasterers by location and, where relevant, allows plasterers to access lead details (including contact information) in accordance with our systems and fees.

We do not:

  • employ, contract with, or act as agent for any plasterer or tradesperson;
  • provide, supply, or carry out any plastering or building work;
  • guarantee the quality, suitability, legality, or outcome of any work done by any plasterer;
  • form any contract between you and a plasterer — any contract for plastering work is solely between you (the customer) and the plasterer (the supplier of services).

You use Plstr to find and contact plasterers. We simply facilitate that introduction. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a plasterer.

3. Use of the service

You must use the website and our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not misuse the site, attempt to circumvent our systems, or use it to harm others or us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or at our discretion.

4. No warranty or guarantee

The Plstr service (including the directory, matching, and any information on the site) is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that:

  • any plasterer will respond to your quote request, or that you will receive any quotes;
  • information on the site (including plasterer profiles) is accurate, complete, or up to date;
  • the site will be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • any plasterer is suitably qualified, insured, or appropriate for your job.

It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself as to any plasterer’s credentials, insurance, and suitability before engaging them. We recommend you obtain written quotes and agree clear terms with any tradesperson directly.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunity.
  • We shall not be liable for any act, omission, default, or negligence of any plasterer or other third party, or for any damage, defect, or loss arising from or in connection with any plastering or other work carried out by a plasterer.
  • Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of Plstr (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is the greater. If you have paid nothing, our total liability shall not exceed £100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

6. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your dealings with any plasterer you contact through Plstr. Any dispute about the quality, price, or performance of plastering work is between you and that plasterer. We are not responsible for resolving such disputes and are not liable for them.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us (and our officers, employees, and representatives) harmless from and against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of Plstr; (b) any contract or dealings between you and a plasterer; or (c) any breach of these terms by you.

8. Plasterers

Plasterers who list on Plstr agree to separate terms and to pay applicable fees (e.g. for lead unlocks). Listing does not mean we endorse or guarantee any plasterer. We may remove listings or refuse service at our discretion.

9. Changes

We may change these terms or the service at any time. Continued use of Plstr after changes constitutes acceptance. We will post the current terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date where appropriate.

10. General

If any part of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.

11. Contact
